Meetings, workshops, conferences & receptions: The Airport Lounge in Terminal A consists of two rooms, which can either be used together or separately. Airport Lounge 1 (60 m2) is ideally suited for use as a reception area with its infrastructure (kitchen, toilets) and access to room 2. The lounge seating generates a cosy atmosphere. The bar with its electric connections, a 75” TV monitor hanging behind it and click & show technology mean that it is possible to fulfil almost every wish. Workshops for up to 15 people can be held here. Airport Lounge 2 (140 m2) also has two 75” TV monitors and click & show technology. Rows of seats are available for up to 60 people, but as many as 130 can be accommodated for a standing buffet. You can choose any catering company for our Airport Lounge – but we can provide you with suitable contacts.
Full air-conditioned seminar rooms are available on the upper floor of Terminal B and they offer space for between four and 50 people. Modern communications equipment and catering from Marché complete the services available.
Events against the backdrop of the airport: Events in an unusual atmosphere are possible in the airport’s central check-in area. The event area offers space for up to 300 people and is located in the central terminal with a view of the northern runway.
Outdoor events: The open-air space next to the multi-storey car park at the airport measures 28,000 m2 and has an integrated beach volleyball court; it provides excellent conditions for open-air events.
An airport tour as the supporting programme: The airport tour starts with a trip round the apron area after the security checks. Visitors can enjoy the varied procedures used to prepare a passenger aircraft for take-off during this time. We then pay a short visit to the airport fire brigade. Passing by the fuel depot and the noise protection hangar for testing jet engines, the tour continues to the southern area of the airport. During the trip through the DHL site, guests obtain information about handling cargo aircraft and goods – and the various items of equipment and the infrastructure. Once the controllers from the German Air Traffic Control Service have provided clearance, the bus takes you on a trip along one of the two runways at speed. The tours can be organised in line with your wishes and become an unforgettable experience, for example, with a demonstration of the fire simulator.
Leipzig/Halle Airport has excellent connections to the motorway and main road network – and the Deutsche Bahn railway network, thanks to the airport station that forms part of the terminal building. As a result, you can reach the airport quickly and directly. Our prices are moderate and our services are geared towards your needs. Whether you need a daily flat rate or individual arrangements, we can provide you with services that are tailored to your requirements. Leipzig/Halle Airport is designed for easy access for people with restricted mobility. They can use the toilets, lifts, phones, shops, eateries and other facilities without encountering any barriers.
