Leipziger Messe corporate group achieves record result in 2013
Leipziger Messe GmbH with the Congress Center Leipzig (CCL) and its five subsidiaries ends the 2013 event year with record sales estimated at over 85 million euros. “This was the best business year for Leipziger Messe since German reunification,” says Managing Director, Martin Buhl-Wagner. “For this we would like to thank our clients, partners and employees.” In total around 1.2 million guests visited the 37 trade fairs, 97 conventions and 34 events in the areas of business, politics, sport and entertainment. FEMS 2013: CCL Welcomes Nobel Laureates
From 21st to 25th July, the Congress Center Leipzig (CCL) is welcoming the Federation of European Microbiological Societies’ (FEMS) 5th Conference of European Microbiologists. This European umbrella organization of microbiologists unites 48 research facilities and organisations in 36 countries. Up to 2,000 delegates are expected at the CCL. FEMS 2013 will contribute to enhancing the profile of Leipzig as a research location and to promoting it world-wide. New Non-Stop Services to Paris and Amsterdam Operated by Darwin Airline from 2 September onwards
The Swiss regional airline Darwin Airline will connect Leipzig/Halle Airport with Paris and Amsterdam from 2 September onwards. This means that Leipzig/Halle is the first airport in Germany, from which Darwin Airline will operate scheduled services. Non-stop to Paris and Amsterdam as often as twice a day Darwin Airline will connect Leipzig/Halle Airport with the cities of Paris and Amsterdam daily from 2 September onwards. The airline will use a Saab 2000 aircraft with 50 seats. The international hubs of Paris Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam offer many connecting flights within the Air France-KLM global network of routes. cross-over show ‘Wagner Reloaded’ will open this year’s MDR Music Summer. The
choreography by Gregor Seyffert is going to focus on central periods of Richard Wagner’s life
