Leipzig’s conference, event and congress options are unique and among the most modern all over Europe: The Congress Center Leipzig (CCL) itself sets standards – by combining perfect technical equipment with spectacular architecture. The CCL is part of the Leipzig Trade Fair site, which holds more than 100,000 square metres of exhibition space in five halls, which can be flexibly partitioned. The central glass hall – an exceptional, 30 metres high steel and glass construction – constitutes the central entrance area to the grounds and offers a breathtaking setting for costumer events and product presentations. With facilities such as these, Leipzig regularly numbers among the top ten of Germany’s best congress destinations. Top class is a term that also applies to the Leipzig Trade Fair’s concept of environmental protection: As the first institution of its kind, the Leipzig Trade Fair bears the international certificate of sustainability, the “Green Globe”. A multitude of further meeting and event facilities complete the picture – from first-class congress hotels to unusual special locations. Leipzig’s hotels offer more than 12,500 beds in 6,850 rooms, over 40 percent of which are on four or five star level. For all diversity, Leipzig is a city of short distances: The most important meeting facilities and cultural institutions in the city centre are at walking distance from each other. A flexible and efficient public transport system ensures fast connections with venues outside the city centre.
